In March 2022, we held a three-day workshop for master's students in industrial design that dealt with the development of design solutions at the meeting points between wildlife and agriculture in the Arava desert.
Specifically, we focused on the problem of birds getting stuck inside the Net Houses, unable to get back out. This phenomenon leads to injury and death among the birds, frustration and waste of time and resources among farmers and damage to agriculture.
Five different concepts were developed in the course of the workshop.
The course was developed and funded out of a joint research project with Oded Keinan, Oren Kolodny and Liron Shani.
Participating students: Gali Kna’ani, Stav Bozaglo, Gaya Salman, Dafna Kaplan, Orni Bloch, Erez Hochman, Lilach Arik, Rotem Yifrah and Ma’ayan Kinsborski.
